In a recent editing project co-produced with Quadrama Films for Paul Stanley's (KISS) solo Live DVD "Live to Win", Lester Cohn of PureDV determined early on that 12-15 cameras even in DV would be very difficult to edit with the multi-clip feature in Final Cut Pro.
To solve this problem, a friend and local Avid DS trainer in Chicago named Jack London made Lester aware of Enhance Technology while previously working on a television show in HD. After consulting with sales professional at Enhance Technology, the compact and versatile EnhanceRAID T5 U320 SCSI desktop RAID storage array instantly get the production going without interruption.
EnhanceRAID T5 help PureDV achieved the goal and solve their video storage needs.
“T5 worked flawlessly even packed to file size limit of our 1.5 terabyte T5 it never failed us and we found that pushing elephants through a straw was made easier by using the T5”- Lester Cohn.
Lester said “I found that working with Enhance was an amazing experience. Any problems we experienced setting up were answered VERY quickly and our sales professional Mike Thurston went overboard in how much help he offered. At some point we had some technical difficulties Mike would provide us with telephone numbers and people to connect with to help us.”
Capitalizing on a passion for the music industry and strong production sensibilities, Lester Cohn founded PureDV in 1998. Coming from JAMtv where he produced over 200 live webcasts for both JAMtv and RollingStone.com. After his initial successes, Lester was brought on board to do projects for Island Def Jam, Squint, Immortal, Warner Brothers, Virgin, Sony, DreamWorks as well as continuing his relationship with Maverick. More recently, Lester co-produced and edited the soon to be released Paul Stanley (KISS) Live to Win DVD along with Quadrama films and Louis Antonelli. PureDV continues to be a creative force working solely in the music business.
