The Challenge

The Research Associate of University of Rochester (UR), Gil Rivlis, is doing research in the Departments of Neurology and of Neurobiology and Anatomy. Rivlis came across a problem of storing huge amount of existing file server in which they needed a big storage capacity that could help them store the file servers. “We wanted to add storage to an existing file server. We wanted to be able to expand it in the future,” said Rivlis. Therefore, Rivlis approached Enhance Technology to look for a solution to his concern.

Enhance Technology becomes part of the solution

At the beginning, Gil Rivlis was looking at Dell and IBM storage products, as well as some others, but after an exhausted research, Rivlis found Enhance Technology as a better choice for its features, key benefits and as being a cost effective storage solution.

“The feature set matched the item I was looking for, it was better priced; and the configuration was more flexible,” stated Rivlis.

The product worked as planned for Rivlis and the implementation of UltraStor RS16 went smoothly without a problem. However, the only problem that he encountered was that the SCSI cables supplied with the RS16 did not match the sockets on the HBA card; he said “I had to get other cables, but it wasn’t a big problem.”
